According to the new announcement by TRON, one of the most popular browsers around the world, Opera, decided to support this crypto project openly. Opera has added TRX to its browser, as well as other TRC tokens. Due to this move, TRX and TRC tokens will now join Ethereum (ETH) and its ERC tokens, which were already added earlier.
Opera expands its reach
Many see this as the time of the crypto revolution when digital coins are once again rising, and this time will stay up. While there are no certainties regarding this, it appears that Opera, one of the world’s most popular online browsers, might agree with such predictions.
Opera is known for a lot of things, including offering a free, built-in VPN, and now for adding support for cryptocurrencies and major blockchains. The browser appears to be very privacy-friendly, and its goal is to help bring Web 3.0 and make it more user-friendly and comprehensive. The best way to do it now, as Opera seems to see it, is to add major blockchains to its platform.
The addition of TRON blockchain, as well as TRX and TRC tokens, Opera will allow hundreds of millions of its users to access dApps via browser, as well as play trance games, and alike.
TRON excited about the move
Naturally, while this is a very big move for Opera, it is also a massive step in the right direction for TRON itself. With cryptocurrencies still fighting a battle for relevancy and pure survival, getting supported by a major browser is no small thing for any project.
TRON’s CEO and founder, Justin Sun, shared his excitement via Twitter, stating that Opera users will soon have the ability to enjoy TRON dApps in their browsers.
We are excited that @opera, a mainstream browser with hundreds of millions of users, will now seamlessly support #TRX and other #TRON tokens. Soon, Opera users will be able to use #dApps on the #TRON blockchain. https://t.co/ZeipAujWQ9

This will mean a lot more exposure for TRON, although the project is already leading in many areas, and is generally considered to be one of the most popular cryptocurrencies and blockchains today.
Opera’s director, Christie Colondra, commented that this is exactly why Opera choose to add support for TRON — its rapid growth and major popularity, not to mention its fast-developing dApp ecosystem, sill significantly accelerate the adoption of Web 3.0. In other words, this is a mutually beneficial move, where both companies have a lot to gain.
TRX price grows past a major barrier
In the last several days, the crypto space has been seeing a massive surge — one that took Bitcoin past $8,000 mark and allowed TRON to finally breach its resistance level at $0.030. While the coin’s value remains extremely low when compared to that of BTC, this is still a big achievement for TRX, which currently sits at the 11th spot on the list of largest cryptos by market cap.
The coin has seen 7.63% growth in the last 24 hours, with its market cap climbing to $2.06 billion. Meanwhile, the project is also seeing an extremely large daily trading volume, which currently exceeds $1.34 billion, making it one of the most popular and most traded coins today. All that is left to see now is whether Opera users will find TRON dApps interesting, and how are the projects going to adapt to one another.
