Bitcoin liquidity hits new records, data shows

According to the cryptocurrency market analysts from DataLight, Bitcoin liquidity has doubled since the beginning of 2019 and reached a record high of 15%.

A newly published data shows that the trading volume and liquidity in the cryptocurrency market is growing more rapidly than many crypto skeptics had predicted. In particular, DataLigh analyzed two leading digital currencies – Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

In the first two months of 2019, the liquidity of the most valuable crypto asset, Bitcoin, has significantly increased compared to the January of 2018. Reasearcher also noted that Bitcoin trading volume has reached similar highs to those seen back in April of 2018.

Ethereum liquidity increased by 2.5 times since the beginning of 2019, data shows. As noted by cryptocurrency market analysists, Ethereum market records show the same daily volume figures as seen in January of 2018, when the price of most cryptocurrencies was at its peak.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC/USD) is trading just below $4,000 price point at $3,981, and 24h trading volume remains at the similar range as seen throughout the week $7.3B, -0.9%. BTC market capitalization is standing at $69,77B.
