Coinbase rolls out direct crypto-to-crypto conversion feature

Crypto exchange startup Coinbase announced on Monday that it will be introducing a new feature called, Convert that will allow its customers to trade cryptocurrencies.

Once rolled out to 34 countries, Coinbase customers will be able to convert between Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Ox or Bitcoin cash. Coinbase also said that more pairs will be added in the future.  Coinbase convert  will be enabled on coinbase.com and in their Android and iOS app.

What’s good about this conversion is the fact that it will be done instantly and at a lower price since there will be no need for dual transactions which contributes to added cost for customers.

Additionally, coinbase said that it will be collecting feedback from customers as they gradually roll out the feature.

Historically, the only products that connected wallet to the Bitcoin blockchain were technical and complex. With Coinbase Convert, the company continues its journey towards providing an easy-to-use, highly secure, and trusted platform to buy or sell Bitcoin.
